Drake's New Album Care Package Released Today Deets Inside
Drake has injected new life into some of his old tracks by dropping the Care Package compilation. The project collects stray singles he’s released over the years such as “4pm In Calabasas” and “Draft Day.”
The compilation features 17 tracks, allowing fans to finally hear these songs on their streaming service of choice. Guests include J. Cole, Rick Ross, Beyoncé and James Fauntleroy.
Drake isn’t dropping his new album yet, but he does have a project for fans to enjoy this summer. The OVO star has announced a compilation titled Care Package, which collects some of his best loose tracks that didn’t appear on his studio releases.
The 17-song project is scheduled to drop this Friday (August 2). Past collaborations with J. Cole, Rick Ross, Beyoncé and James Fauntleroy are featured on the compilation.
“Available Friday on all platforms,” Drake wrote on Instagram. “Some of our most important moments together available in one place. Care Package.”
Ahead of the ninth annual OVO Fest in Toronto, Drake surprised his fans with a special delivery: a 17-track compilation project called Care Package.
The OVO boss announced the release via Instagram on Thursday afternoon, confirming it would include stand-alone tracks that were never officially released. Care Package features fan-favorite songs like "5AM in Calabasas," "Can I," "Dreams Money Can Buy," "Jodeci Freestyle" featuring J. Cole, and the Rick Ross-assisted "Free Spirit."
"Some of our most important moments together available in one place," Drake wrote in the project's announcement.
Though Care Package doesn't offer anything new (some of the cuts were recorded about a decade ago), it is a convenient gift for Drake die-hards. As previously mentioned, all these songs never appeared on a proper LP, and were only available via Soundcloud or unauthorized YouTube videos.
Drake announced on Instagram that he’ll be releasing a new compilation, Care Package, to all digital platforms on Friday, August 2nd. The 17-song album will include previous non-LP tracks going back to 2011, like “Dreams Money Can Buy” and “Jodeci Freestyle” featuring J. Cole.

Many of these tracks were previously only available primarily through Soundcloud and illegal YouTube rips; “Club Paradise,” “Dreams Money Can Buy,” “Trust Issues” and “Free Spirit” with Rick Ross were all acclaimed tracks that preceded the release of 2011’s Take Care but didn’t make that album’s final track list. Through Care Package, they will now be available on Spotify, Apple Music and other streaming platforms.
There are some notable exemptions from the tracklist, including the Meek Mill diss tracks “Charged Up” and “Back to Back,” the hit two-parter “0 to 100/The Catch Up,” as well as the recent two-track EPs Scary Days and The Best in the World Pack.
